Why Recycle?

Recycling conserves natural resources, reduces energy consumption and protects our environment.
We can save an enormous amount of energy and resources by recycling, and it's so easy!

Since KCR began in July 1989, We have saved millions of units of energy for reuse by industry. We have saved thousands of cubic metres of landfill space for materials which cannot by recycled.
We have reduced pollution by cutting back on the need for primary production of materials and the production of waste and pollution that goes with it.
As well as this we have created full and part time jobs; our team are a happy bunch doing a great job.
We have also raised approaching £400,000 for schools, charities, youth groups and worthy causes within our community.
Recyclers using our Exchange Scheme benefit from a variety of useful materials available to them as well as the fund raising potential of their materials.
